Marquis Los Cabos recieves Green Key Certification

That is why we are proud to share that Marquis Los Cabos has received the international Green Key certification, one of the most important sustainability recognitions in the global tourism and hospitality industry.

Awarded by FEE Mexico (Foundation for Environmental Education), this certification recognizes our ongoing efforts in environmental management, resource conservation, waste reduction, energy efficiency, training, and engagement with our community.

This recognition is the result of an evaluation process that began in June 2025 and culminated in an on-site audit conducted in June 2026. The certification was officially approved on July 23, 2026.

A Commitment We Live Every Day

At Marquis Los Cabos, sustainability is an integral part of our daily operations. Among the initiatives supporting this certification are:

100% of the water used to irrigate our gardens comes from treated water.
100% of our potable water is produced through our on-site desalination plant.
90% of the property is equipped with LED lighting.
We separate and recycle six categories of waste, including PET, aluminum, cardboard, glass, bottle caps, and cooking oil.
100% of our ornamental plants are native to the region, helping preserve the natural character of our surroundings.
80% of our purchases are made with local suppliers, strengthening our relationship with the community.
Our colleagues receive ongoing training in sustainability and the responsible use of resources.
We develop environmental activities with guests, colleagues, and community organizations.

And the results are already reflected in our operations. During the first half of 2026, we reduced our energy consumption by 387,421 kWh compared to the same period in 2025. Meanwhile, 100% of our colleagues received sustainability training, and we participated in six environmental activities.

For us, Green Key represents more than a certification. It is a way to recognize the dedication of our team while reaffirming our commitment to Los Cabos and to future generations who also deserve to experience and enjoy this extraordinary destination.
