"Best vacation ever! My husband and I booked our wedding at Marquis Los Cabos, and we were so impressed! Everything we had planned was taken care of beautifully, and the service provided by Yazmin and all the event staff was above and beyond our expectations. The resort is BEAUTIFUL, food was amazing, service was absolutely wonderful, and we had an amazing wedding and vacation with Marquis Los Cabos! We will DEFINITELY be coming back, and I highly recommend this resort for anyone traveling to Cabo!"
"If you are considering having your destination wedding in Cabo, I highly recommend Marquis Los Cabos as your venue! My husband and I had our wedding there in June of 2018 and only have amazing things to say about the resort. The staff is attentive, polite and extremely accommodating. My wedding coordinator was Yazmin Castro – she is beyond amazing, very quick to respond to any/all questions I had, patient with these sometimes neurotic questions and she truly works hard to deliver anything and everything possible for the wedding day. You can tell that she is not only great at her job but that she enjoys it as well. She made planning a destination wedding not only easy but fun. She is quite fun in general to work with. I cannot say enough positive things about Yazmin. All of the hotels preferred vendors are also great – Angeles (flowers) and Angel (lighting/DJ). Yazmin is great about making these introductions, she is copied on all email exchanges and follows up with them if/when necessary. You can feel more than comfortable being in the US (or elsewhere) and trust that Yazmin understands your wedding day vision and will do everything she can to execute.
The hotel itself is a dream. When we were looking at venues, we wanted a grand entrance for our guests upon arrival – box checked! (if you haven’t seen photos of the beautiful lobby/arch, make sure you finds some!), great service, and a smaller resort vs. some of the mega resorts that are in the area. Marquis has something like approx. 250 rooms and this was the perfect size. We had about 50 people at our wedding and bumped into our guests over the entire weekend, either at the restaurants, pools, etc and this is exactly what we wanted so that we could visit with our family without trying to hunt them down over a huge property. The rooms at the hotel are also incredible – every room as an ocean view!
Another thing that was important to us is that we wanted to be the only wedding that took place on that day, this is Marquis’ policy – only 1 wedding per day. We were the only wedding that entire weekend. Yazmin and the hotel were also great about helping us coordinate other events/details throughout the weekend – all of our guests got a “Welcome Letter” (I made this in advance, gave to Yazmin for the staff to distribute to our guests upon check-in), we had a bonfire the night before the wedding with hosted bar (this does cost extra but not much and was totally worth it) next to one of the pools. They set up the bonfire and lounge chairs/seating. We had our rehearsal dinner at Canto del Mar (this is the only restaurant not included in the all-inclusive). The meal there was incredible and we had many comments from our bridal party about the food and the wine pairing being top-notch. I also had no idea how the table was going to be decorated and I was very pleasantly surprised it was simple, clean and beautiful. It truly made for a lovely and intimate meal with our bridal party. I was also able to use the Presidential Suite to get ready with my bridesmaids the morning of the wedding (my Groom used our Suite with the guys). The hotel does offer a beautiful bridal suite in the spa but I opted to the Pres. Suite because of the huge balcony and view for pictures. Lastly, we had a “Goodbye Brunch” the morning after the wedding at Vista Ballenas restaurant at the hotel. This wasn’t hosted but simply where guests could find us before they left. The hotel was very accommodating in trying to sit us together, near each other, moving tables, etc. Many of our guests even commented that the hostess at this restaurant remembered their names even though they’d only been there a couple of days.
To our unfortunate luck, we did have to deal with a rare tropical storm in June. The storm hit the Thursday before the wedding and this happened to be the day most of the guests were arriving. This was obviously a very stressful day for me and luckily, all of the most important guests made it; my Dad, MOH, bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc. Unfortunately, a couple of cousins didn’t make it in to Cabo due to the storm but did make it the next day after the storm had passed. The resort quickly refunded the guests for the night of the storm if they didn’t make it through. The storm also created some leaks in our room Suite, the hotel quickly got us another Suite and helped us to move all of our items there.
Clearly since I’ve written a novel of a review, I can only say amazing things about this hotel (and I could go on and on) and I’m so happy it was the backdrop of one of the happiest days of my life."
