Decorated in gold and white, the Mar de Cortes Ballroom will dress the perfect night for your gala dinner. Waiters dressed in black and white will greeting your guests. White tablecloths, gold overlays, chair covers featuring the same colors and floral centerpieces surrounded by candles create an elegant and subtle atmosphere. Ceilings draped in soft antique gold colored fabric, hanging chandeliers and fabric falling from the corners illuminated in amber will make this night an unforgettable moment. A long time ago a thunderstorm fell over an agave field and lighting hit some of them at the core and the heat fermented their content into a form of honey. The natives tasted it and found it so delicious that it was considered a gift from the Gods. This was the birth of a legendary drink - Tequila. Experience the magic world of Tequila at Marquis Los Cabos. Wait staff dressed in traditional uniforms will greet your guests with a shot of tequila in a clay cup or “jarrito”. Agave stamped tablecloths and a barrel of Tequila as a centerpiece with candles around will give a real touch of the Tequila Party. Tequila barrels, traditional hats, wooden wagons and agaves will adorn the natural surrounding while the spirited sounds of a strolling trio serenade every table.The cantina will be your main bar, a fun place to meet and toast. At the Tequila Station you will learn where the Tequila comes from and how it is made. Your guest will definitely be enticed to go for a shot. Buffet stations will be decorated with traditional pottery artifacts and agave cacti will accent the scenery. Gentlemen will be given a traditional Mexican hat. Tropical Night.
The cool breeze swings the palm trees, notes of salsa music fill the night ambiance and a refreshing mojito is in your hand. Welcome to our Tropical Party, where you will feel the magic and sensations come alive only at Marquis Los Cabos. Wait staff dressed in colorful tropical uniforms will greet your guests with a refreshing cocktail while they put a shell necklace around their necks. Banana and date palms, bamboo, fishing nets and tiki torches set the perfect vibe for your party in paradise. Tropical giant fruit displays along the buffet line will be part of the tropical flavor. Colorful tablecloths, flowers and candle centerpieces made of coconuts will dress your night. Color spot lights illuminate the palm trees, and papier mâché animals, whole fruit around the area and a fire pit to roast marshmallows set the scenery to complement the sea breeze and sand.Pirate Night.
Sir Francis Drake once sailed the waters of the Sea of Cortes assaulting Spanish Galleons on their route from the Philippines, and it is said he hid his treasures in a cave near Lover’s Beach. Recreate the pirate times of Cabo in our Pirate of Cabos party, where waiters dressed with black pants, striped shirt and black vest, with eye patches and bandanas greet guests. Black flags, thick ropes hanging from a ship and canons are the pirate scenery. Tiki torches around the beach, fire pits, skulls, shipwreck treasure chests and swords invite your guests to begin the real pirate adventure. Special spot lights will illuminate the ocean and the waves crashing against the rocks. Buffet lines in canoes decorated with treasure chests and the bar with a pirate shipwreck figure are the perfect place for the pirate crew to meet. Baja Pirate pattern maps as tablecloths and antique chandeliers with mini treasure chests as centerpieces give the final touch for an adventurous pirate night. Anchors away and all a board! This swashbuckling adventure recreates the romance and grandeur of Mexico in its early days. The elegance of the evening reaches new heights when your VIP dressed like the hero Zorro arrives at the scene. Wait staff will be dressed in black and white uniforms, wearing a cape, mask and a hat, just like “El Zorro.” A Cantina represents the perfect stage for the band that makes this party an exciting night. Black tablecloths and red runners figuring a “Z”, black chair covers and red sashes will dress the Zorro night. An elegant chandelier adorned with flowers will be your centerpiece. Bar and Food Stations will be decorated in red and black with different colonial props. The ceiling will be lighted with lycracones illuminated in red, the walls accented with red and black fabric runners while a red “Z” is projected on a wall. The Zorro night will capture the romance and flavor of Colonial Mexico.Mexican Fiesta.
Experience the riches of the Mexican countryside in one spectacular Fiesta. Tradition, folklore, and authentic national cuisine will delight your guests. Wait staff uniformed in traditional caporal outfits will greet your guests with refreshing margaritas. An old wooden wagon and a cactus will be your main entrance, a festive scene for the souvenir photo. Luminaries will lead your guests to the Mexican Fiesta. Festive sombreros, saddles, piñatas, and paper cut-outs adorn the party as the sounds of mariachi fill the evening air. Along the perimeter there will be red, yellow and green illumination highlighting the palm trees giving an authentic Mexican flavor. Mexican props such as sombreros, pottery artifacts and colorful linens will give the magic touch to your food stations. Dining tables with beautiful and colorful tablecloths are set with Mexican centerpieces surrounded by votive candles. While dining, your delighted guests will be enjoy a traditional Mexican trio. Hit the open road of the Baja Peninsula, feeling the sea breeze on your face as you ride your powerful motorcycle. One of the most representative lifestyles of American culture provides the setting for this fun themed celebration - the Harley-Davidson & Rock Party. At the entrance there will be a Harley-Davidson sign and banner, and real Harley-Davidson motorcycles surround the event area. Harley Davidson banners will be on the buffet line. Orange linens with black runners will dress the tables. Harley-Davidson candle centerpieces will be adorning them while the chairs have black chair covers and an orange sash. Harley-Davidson props such as handlebars, wheels, banners and signs will be scattered around the event space. A temporary tattoo parlor will be there to complement the look of your guests. Our wait staff dressed with Harley-Davidson bandanas, black t-shirts and jeans make the night authentic. Let your guests take a ride on the wild side at our gnarly Harley party.Mexican Karmese Reception.
Set the mood for a festive evening with our traditional Mexican Kermesse, a celebration with games, candy, vendors, a wedding minister and even a jail for those who get cold feet! Your guests will have fun and win prizes playing skill games such as marbles board, darts, and rings on a bottle. A piñata is at hand in case they decide to free their inner child and a wedding minister will marry (or remarry) couples. Cotton candy, caramel apples and typical Mexican treats will be offered by strolling vendors. For those who dare, a man will offer tequila shots. Colored lights and paper banners will accent the authenticity of the reception along with colorful Trajineras (Mexican canoes) floating in the pool. Have your company logo projected on the waterfall.
